Protest blockade Israel, Christians do not celebrate Christmas

Headman of the Board of Church Latin (Kaniash al-Latin) in Gaza, al-Abb (Romo) Manuel Musallam, announced when the celebration will not take any days in the holy Christmas this year as a form of protest against the blockade of the area taken by Israel.

As quoted Palestinian Arabic daily that in London, al-Quds (24/12), al-Abb Manuel said, "we will not celebrate Christmas this year as the opposition over the war crimes of Israel."

Until now, there are about 4,000 Christians live in Gaza path. Most of them follow the Greek Orthodox sect, and the Latin celebrate Christmas on 24 and 25 months in the first canon (December). Meanwhile, the Coptic minority sect celebrates Christmas on January 7.

Daily al-Quds also preach, as many as 800 Christians Gaza has to apply to visit Bet Lehem and cities in the Holy Christian Palestinians. Israel only allows the government to the 280 applicants only.
